DAVE GROHL Says Working With LED ZEPPELIN Legend Was 'Really, Really Great'
May 18, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: The new FOO FIGHTERS album, "In Your Honor", features a number of guest appearances, including one by former LED ZEPPELIN bassist John Paul Jones. Launch asked FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl if he found it hard to believe that he was working in the studio with the legendary Jones. "Pretty much the whole six hours he was hanging out," Grohl said, "I changed my panties a couple of times. He was a great guy, though. He didn't make you feel nervous. John Paul Jones was really, really great. He's a really unassuming guy, he's a genius — everybody knows that — and he just made you feel great. I mean, the guy's amazing. He was so cool, I love him."
Jones plays piano on a track called "Miracle". The song appears on the second of "In Your Honor"'s two CDs.
The album, which arrives on June 14, consists of one disc of heavier, louder material and one disc of softer tunes.
Other guests on the set include Josh Homme from QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and Norah Jones.
